By booking a room at Summerlands Guest House you are agreeing that you and members of your party agree to and are bound by the Terms & Conditions detailed below. Your reservation made with Summerlands Guest House represents a legally binding contract between you and Summerlands Guest House.
Deposit: A deposit for the first night’s stay will be required at the time of booking. This can be paid by credit/debit card (there is no additional charge for credit/debit card use). The remainder will be taken 7 days prior to arrival. This also applies for all third party booking agents (you will be asked for your credit/debit card details even if you are paying by cash). We do not accept American Express. Please note there may be different payment options on different platforms and depending on how the booking is made.
Cancellation policy: Cancellations must be received 7 days prior to arrival otherwise the total cost of the stay will be taken from the credit/debit card details that were supplied at time of booking. We reserve the right to charge your card as detailed in our cancellation policy in the event of a no-show (guest doesn't show up) by closing of check-in time in which case full payment of the cost of booking will be taken. Deposits are non-refundable. By entering into this contract you are authorizing us to make these charges without additional consent being required. Travel insurance is recommended for all guests which should provide you with adequate cover should you need it.
Check-In and Departure Time: We ask that guests check in from 2:00 - 6:30pm, however if arriving earlier than this guests are welcome to leave their luggage until the room is ready. We kindly request that guests vacate their rooms by 10:00am on the day of departure.
Car Parking: We have off-road parking for a maximum of 1 medium size car on a first come first served basis. While we will attempt to satisfy individual needs, we cannot guarantee parking spaces. Please do not park in either of the spaces on your right as you approach the car park. There is free on-street parking around the area.
Rates: The rates quoted are for the specific number of guests, i.e. the family rooms are for 2 adults and 1 child or 1 adult and 2 children, not 3 adults.
Smoking: We do not allow smoking in the building and that includes E cigarettes and vaping. The sensitive smoke alarm will pick up any cigarette smoke and set the alarm off whether with your head/arm or any part of your body out of the window, although smokers are welcome and can smoke outside where an ashtray is provided. Anyone found smoking in the building will be subject to a fine of £100.00 towards the cost of deep cleaning of the room/area and will be asked to leave and no refund will be given back.
Stag / Hen parties or large single parties are not accepted: If you book by leaving out this information you will be turned away on arrival.
Damaged / Missing items: We reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card for any damage caused to your room during your stay or for any items found to be missing when you leave.
Refunds: No refund will be given for temporary absence, meals booked and not taken, or early departure. This also applies if you are asked to leave.
Consumption of Food & Drink: We politely and respectfully request that food or drink not be consumed in any guest bedrooms (other than light snacks, or food &drink provided by Summerlands Guest House). We reserve the right to charge your credit/debit card for any damage caused or for cleaning. Please note that the consumption of alcohol is not permitted on our premises.
Card Types: Are accepted as follows: Visa, Mastercard. We will only accept guests who have a valid debit or credit card and have a permanent address. Please include address and mobile number at time of booking.
Liability: Please note that we cannot accept any liability for lost or damaged items or damage to your vehicle(s).
Children: From 8-17 years are welcome at Summerlands Guest House however they must be able to sleep safely in an adult bed. Our maximum occupancy per room is for two people other than the family rooms where this is for two adults and one child or 1 adult and 2 children, therefore you are more than welcome to book more than one room. We do not provide travel cots or highchairs and we are unable to accommodate guests’ own equipment.
Pets: We do not accept pets at our guest house.
CCTV: The building is equipped with 24-hour recording CCTV in public areas for the safety and security of our guests and premises.
Unregistered Visitors: Unregistered Visitors are only allowed into the Guest House with the owners’ consent. Any guest disregarding this will be charged an additional £30.00 for their unauthorized visitor and may be asked to leave. In such cases we will not provide a refund for any accommodation days lost.
Noise & Disturbance at Night: Please show consideration for other guests when using mobile phones, PCs, TVs or radios etc. either very early in the morning or late at night. We respectfully request that all guests keep noise to a minimum when departing or returning late also. We are a small Guest House.
Please note: Any damage to the property caused by guests or their associates during their stay must be paid for in full, including loss of revenue. This also includes any inappropriate or threatening behaviour, which could result in the individual(s) being expected to leave the premises.
Booking Cancellation Policy: Changes and cancellations to bookings made up to 7 days prior to arrival are without charge except for the first night’s non-refundable deposit. This overrides any other stated policy. Bookings cancelled within the 7 days before arrival will be charged a non-refundable cancellation fee of the total cost of the booking.
